Original Source Images
1 - As Sent to Printer
These are the original source documents that were used to produce the paper charts for CTS-1 thru CTS-4. The first 3 were produced with Adobe Photoshop as direct vector object targets, allowing precise selection of shapes and colors. CTS-2 and 4 were made in 8-bit RGB mode using the sRGB color space. CTS-1 and 3 were made in 8-bit CMYK Color Mode and then converted to RGB mode for printing. Each image is sized to print on 8.5""x11" paper with the internal boxes sized at a 2x3 aspect ratio for capture by cameras. If desired, you may print these charts directly on your own printer for your own use to capture the images on film using your own camera and setup.

This version shows the chart as formatted for printing on 8.5x11" glossy print paper. This was used for the DSLR print scans and the film captures.
The CTS-2 frame is a set of sample color blocks that can be used like an IT8 target. The 6 primary colors (RGB & CMY) are set as absolute values in Photoshop in RGB mode. The smaller inner blocks are set to their matching CMY values in RGB mode. The RGB values shown below the block are values as created in PhotoShop. The values inside the block show the CMYK value set by PS to match the set RGB value. Blocks 1 to 4 are representative values of average skin tones. Block 5 is set to blank Kodak Portra 400 film base. Blocks 6 to 15 are sample colors selected from the Photoshop color schemas. Blocks 16 to 20 are white, 18% gray, 50% gray, 75% gray, and black.
